Hidden Dangers I
Wanted to share a scary little piece that we are playing this week. Chopin's "Fantasy on Polish Airs." Chopin is notorious for maddening horn parts which are awkward, delicate and very annoying. The first piano concerto is a 50 minute exercise in "pp" mid-high range notes. (mostly f#)
The Fantasy on Polish Airs is for horn in A. Little horn calls and delicate entrances. Most of the notes are high B's. I include a copy below. Enjoy or avoid, whatever takes your fancy.
